I have been following Danny Choo around the convention through his blog and now i am pretty sure that i will attend next year’s AFA event.

Thinking about making an interview-like visit to the AFA so some publishing house would actually cover some of the expenses.

I just read the most interesting news concerning maid cafes.  How would you feel if you walked into a maid cafe in Akihabara and you were greeted not by a moe Japanese girl but by Anna, a student from Barcelona, dressed up as a maid.

Anna is just doing this job to fund her stay in Japan and also because she enjoys dressing up like that.

Her looks? Not exactly my cup of tea.

Would you feel cheated if you bumped into her in a maid cafe?

It’s seems to have dominated the anime headlines today, a brand new anime sponsored by the Goverment of Japan.

This anime is called “Bokura no Saibanin Monogatari” (Our Jury Story). The goal is to teach the people of Japan what a jury does and prepare them for the re-introduction of the Jury system in Japanese courts.

This is quite an original way to promote the implementation of the jury system. Even so, some Japanese folks disagree with this new system since many dont want to be called in as jury members. There is also a fine impossed to those who don’t attend and use fake excusses, a fine that can reach up to 500,000 Yen!

Do you belive a Jury system is a must for proper court trials? If so, do you agree with the Japanese system being implemented?

It seems that for a nation so advanced like Japan there are still many problems. One of them seems to be, peeing on a public street.

Personaly I have had the experience of seeing a man pee publicly once in my life but that was a long time ago in Syria.

There is an ongoing project in Tokyo right now where they will build a life-size RX-78 Gundam. I presume under the name Green Tokyo Project since my Japanese reading skills are close to zero.

Those familiar with the Gundam series will surelly recognise the model. And those close to Odaiba will be the lucky ones to visit the site once the construction is finished.

Lets have a look at the previous Real-life Gundam project for comparison.

Clearly the designer became a park cleaner soon after.

The interesting part of the story is that the order arrived in 3 days time! I’m quite amazed at what Japanese folks do.

I was surpised at first because my orders from Amazon UK take about 2 weeks to arrive and i wasn’t exp

ecting a packedge from Japan any time soon because of this past experience.

It’s small things like this that make you love Japan!
